Alain is Swiss, 48 y-o. He is a bold thinker (yes, generally totally out of the box) and a negotiator. He's also the legal guy. And he knows Valais🇨🇭 like the back of his hand; he knows the country and its people.

Kim is Swedish🇸🇪, 47 y-o. She is a business ladybug, sharp on marketing and figures, making sure strategy and operations work tightly and smartly together - all dressed in a neat and strong visual identity.

Ross

Partner

Ross is South African. He is an entrepreneur. A commercial mind, very creative and always super enthusiastic. He'll try. He'll make it happen. He is a doer, with an amazing network all around the world.

FROM ONE PIECE OF PARADISE...

Kim and Alain were born in the country of mountains and chocolate, and of… raclette. They grew up there, in Switzerland, on Lake Geneva. They studied and worked, and enjoyed life there.
Up until 2021-22.
Alain and Kim then decided to go for it, i.e. to take the big leap:
They decided to leave their lovely country of mountains and chocolate…
… and they grabbed one of the best raclette and brought it to Sweden where they settled.

... TO ANOTHER ONE: SWEDEN!

Kim and Alain have both roots in Sweden and have often come to here over the last years - whenever they could actually.
They love Sweden. And every time they came, there would be that evening or apéritif when their discussion would -once more- come back on how much they liked about Sweden and when that happy discussion would playfully ponder upon what they were missing here. Missing from Switzerland.
And the answer would irremediably be : “nothing”.
They miss nothing when in Sweden. Neither the Swiss mountains. Nor the Swiss chocolate (believe it or not!). Nor anything in particular. Nothing… but…

NOTHING, BUT... RACLETTE!

And that’s how the idea arose. First a crazy idea:
“Why not bring our raclette to Sweden?”
And that’s what they now do.
Alain and Kim have partnered with some of the most talented raclette craftsmen and friends in Valais, the cradle of raclette.
And here they are, with some of the finest products from Valais in their suitcases, coming from the heart of the Swiss Alps: a high-end AOP raclette cheese, a fantastic dried meat and some magic spices and a herbal tea also. All from the mountains in Valais. All made with savoir-faire and love. All talking the language of quality and tradition.
And these products are exclusive. Nowhere else will you find these products in Sweden other than at CHEESE CORNER - that’s the name they chose.

RACLETTE IS A UNIVERSE

And that’s what Alain and Kim are crafting, twig by twig, and what they wish to bring to and share in Sweden. There are the products (delicious! You can hear Kim and Alain talk with their heart about them), and there is more. There is a generosity of all these genuine moments shared around a raclette meal. And that’s what you shall find at CHEESE CORNER, all of that. So as to transform your very home into a cozy chalet, for a meal and a good moment with your family and friends.

THE 3 PARTNERS IN (RACLETTE) CRIME

And then there is Ross. Ross is one of Alain’s and Kim’s best friends. He lives between South Africa and the US.
The 3 of them meet as often as life permits -often in Valais and in the Swiss Alps-, and they Skype.
The project of bringing raclette to Sweden has of course been at the heart of many of their discussions over the last years.
Ross was immediately as enthusiastic about the idea as Kim and Alain. He saw the project emerge, and then little by little turn from a crazy one to a real project. He brought ideas and challenged some of ours.
Ross plays a super important role.
And he’s here in Sweden with them for the launch of course.
